Notes
Transcriptors note:
The original DAT source was good, but the high end was a bit lacking. I used Cool Edit pro to boost the high end by using FFT filtering (approximately 7.89 db). I found this was a marked improvement on the original sound.
You will notice that the bass floor on this recording is a bit lacking (this is true on the original recording), but it picks up after Candyman.
If you listen closely, you can here the mikes being moved ever so slightly for the first six numbers.
Matt Vernon note:
I have compared this with the Glassberg aud digitized by John Steinthal from Barry's master cassettes. This is the same source, though it has been equalized by increasing the treble as described in the info file. The "brighter" sound of this source is more typical of audience recordings that were recorded with Dolby but not played back to decode the Dolby.

Subject: Great looking show; poor sound
Quality improves by the second set, but there is still much room noise for me. By the number of sources for the show, it seems like they have been trying to correct some of these issues. Still grateful to have this historical document.
5/5 for a '79 Dead performance
3/5 for sound
Subject: What a great show! Thanks for the memories!
Traveled up to Maine after the show at U. Mass the day before. I got pulled over and they took the weed from my front shirt pocket (duh!) and the little hash in the glove compartment. I got a ticket for that and for speeding. I paid one and owed some on the speeding. I live out of state and thought they'd forget... They caught up with me 27 years later when I went to renew my license in another state and they did a data base cross check. lol!
Thanks for the archives and the memories! I love looking up and listening to shows I was at. I miss Jerry....
edit: Track 16 labeled "Drums" is actually the end of Truckin and is an awesome jam with a little Nobody's fault But Mine jam.... well worth a listen!
